“Living in New York City, homelessness and unemployment always seemed like the status quo, particularly with the influx of migrants. Then, after my sophomore year in high school, I spent the summer working in a factory in rural Massachusetts. Instead of the lack of employers I was accustomed to, I saw a lack of employees, and a “Help Wanted” sign on every door. It was then that I knew something had to change. I could not understand why there were still so many people seeking to hire and others to be hired, separated only by a quick train ride. I started Fora to fix that.”
